In the final scenario, the customer has the same basket of £50; the customer has multiple gift cards, one with a balance of £20 and one with a balance of £10; this will leave a basket balance of £20. If, at the time of submission to the REST API, the additional payment method is unknown, pass the remaining balance of £20 in the other payments section with a payment method of Other. This approach ensures that the remaining balance is accounted for, even if the specific payment method isn’t known at the time of submission. This is done for both gift card submissions.
